Back-2-School Shopping

We hope all of you are taking advantage of some of the great sales that are underway on TpT.   We just added a few items to our own wish list and are planning to make some purchases tomorrow.  There are so many FABULOUS resources available . . . where was this website when we started teaching????

We just wanted to let you know that our two newest bundled sets of literacy and math centers are now available in our store on TpT.  We apologize for not getting them added before the big sale began.  Luckily you still have 3 more days to save 30%.

We also want to announce the winner in our Musical Math giveaway.  It was SO much fun reading each post and learning about everyone’s favorite songs.musical winners

One last thing before we go . . .

We want to check and see just how many of you 1st grade teachers out there use the Houghton Mifflin reading series?  We are throwing around the idea of putting together a BIG resource pack that includes all the supplemental material we have developed over the years to go along with the series and want to know if it would be very well received.  Let us know what you think!!!

  1. Diane and Kelly,

I'm not in 1st anymore, but I know the firsties at my school would LOVE to purchase a resource packet, especially if the resources included are things they can easily adapt to use with their smartboard or as centers that related to phonics, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, comp, and fluency.

  2. We still use HM (the old series - haven't had the money in our school district to upgrade). However, I'd be interested! :) http://firstclasswithmrsmac.blogspot.com/

  3. WOW! Thank you so much... I am thrilled to win these CD's!!!! I was just uploading music to my iPod today for my classroom--how exciting that now I get to add more!
    Thanks again,
    Karen :o)

  4. I would be very interested in things to go with first grade HM. My district uses a different phonics and spelling program but we still use HM for our sight words and comprehension.
