Trick-Or-Treat

No tricks here . . . just a few treats for all of our sweet friends.

clip_image005

Now through Monday every item in our TpT store is on sale.

We are both still debating what kind of costume we will be wearing to school on Monday . . . so we need your help.  Leave us a comment telling us what kind of costume you will be wearing this Halloween and you will be entered in our Spooktacular giveaway.  We will choose 5 lucky winners.  Each winner will receive ANY 5 items of their choice from our TpT store.

The past few years we have teamed up with our hallway friends in these fun little costumes.  The kids always LOVE it . . . but we are ready for a change.10946_184613442752_598437752_3093838_4726115_n[1]

    Wouldn't that be nice though?!

  8. The teachers at our school are dressing up like crayons. We are creating names for our colors based on our names. I'm going to be Silvery Southard. I'll dress in gray sweats with my cone head (wrapped in foil) and I'm spraying myself with silver glitter spray. Comfy and fun!

  9. Last year I was a beekeeper. I spray painted a large brimmed hat white, glued on netting and bees from a floral shop. I even put some flying above me with wire. I wore a white coverall from the hardware store and garden gloves. I used stickers to spell honey on a silver bucket and put yellow crepe paper in it. I thought about adding Bit O' Honey candy but never did. It was was a big hit. Thanks Martha Stuart!

  11. Last year our intermediate students dressed as book characters and we are doing the same this year. Last year it was Viola Swamp from Miss Nelson is Missing and this year Amelia Bedelia! Good luck with your decision!

  12. No costume for me. It's a uniform day for our students so I would feel bad. I suggest going as one of your favorite class books. Pete the Cat would be a big hit for my kiddos.

  14. Last year I was an octopus. Just take 8 stuffed socks and staple them around the bottom of your shirt and put large eyes on the front of your shirt with white contact paper. Very easy and you can wear jeans or sweats with it!

  15. We do not have a party or dress up. I'll be wearing a "Happy Halloween" shirt. Your team should each go as a fairy tale character. Not sure if you do a fairy tale unit, but I think it would be a huge hit!

  16. Oh, here's a few more ideas...
Ms. Frizzle and the other characters from the Magic School Bus.
I know you guys do a HUGE color unit. You could each be a color of a rainbow.
Not sure if the kids would get this one, but it would be fun. Each of you could dress up in trendy clothes from an assigned decade...50's , 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's.
    Have fun!

  20. I always read "Miss Nelson is Missing" to my class the day before and tell them that I have to get a sub on Halloween and that Miss Viola Swamp will be their sub. Then I dress up at Viola Swamp and act like her all day! It's pretty funny, but I did have one student start crying yesterday saying that she didn't want a witch to be the sub, so I let her in on my secret.
